SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

JOB PURPOSE

Under the supervision of the Department Head – Business Analysis, the Senior Business Analyst will work with the related business teams, both internal and external, in assessing and determining solutions to meet business goals and objectives and determine the best way to design new processes and solve process-related problems.  The Senior Business Analyst is also responsible for proactively generating and compiling reports based on his/her findings, complete with recommended improvements to, or new requirements for business process and operational procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Advanced Software Engineering training.
  • 5-7 years’ experience as a practitioner participating in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Advanced software engineering exposure
  • 4 years’ business systems analysis or business systems design experience or both. 
  • Experience in Change Management i.e., stakeholder analysis, business transformation, communication strategy development and execution, organizational design, training program design and execution.
  • Experience in the use of UML, Process Flows, Design and presentation tools.
  • Experience in the analysis and definition of strategic objectives for organizations.
  • Solid understanding of process improvement and process mapping techniques.
  • Experience in identifying inefficiencies in existing processes.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in managing and executing business process improvement activities.

Desired:

  • Training in strategic planning and group dynamics.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in project management.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

  • Ability to define problems and formulate and conceptualize solutions
  • Strong analytical skills. 
  • Ability to understand the operations of both the business and systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure, in a target driven environment. 
  • Calm and objective with ability to listen and provide stability. 
  • Ability to work within teams of varying sizes.
  • Good software testing skills.
