Mrs.
Shernette Barham

Senior Director, Programme Management Division

Shernette Barham is the Senior Director, Programme Management Division with over twenty-eight (28) years working experience in the IT industry. In her twenty (20) years with this organization she has risen through the ranks from a Programmer Analyst to her current position of Senior Director, honing skills in Software Engineering, Project, Programme and Portfolio Management practices.

In her current capacity, under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Barham oversees the development and implementation of best practices for IT Project, Programme and Portfolio management throughout the organization and to ultimately propagate said standards and benchmarks across GoJ.  She also has oversight of the definition, implementation and maintenance of the GoJ Enterprise Architecture, providing a government-wide technology roadmap aligned with the GoJ’s mission for optimal performance of its core business processes driven by an efficient IT environment.  Additionally, in keeping with the GoJ ICT Governance Framework, provision of ICT portfolio analysis, advice and guidance to the Project Portfolio Management Committee (PPMC) in support of the ICT Council also falls under her purview.

A certified Project Management Professional, Mrs. Barham holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics (Hons.), a Master’s Degree in Computer-Based Management Information Systems, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. She is a devoted Christian and is driven by the mantra that “Whatever is worth doing is worth doing well”.
