Internship Programme

eGov Jamaica Limited (eGovJa) recognizes its role as a change agent for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the island and the company is committed to providing a learning environment within which students can get hands-on experience in various areas in computing. Through its Internship Programme, eGovJa seeks to establish and maintain partnerships with tertiary institutions in Jamaica and the objectives of the programme are to:

  • Develop and improve the knowledge, skills and practical abilities of students in Information and Communication Technology.
  • Expose students to areas such as Networking, Systems Programming, Systems Administration, Database   Administration, Quality Assurance and Change and Release Management.

The University of the West Indies (UWI), Vocational Training and Development Institute (VTDI) and the University of Technology (UTECH) are current participants in the Internship Progamme.

Interested students can apply through the Internship Coordinator at their respective schools.
