Cybercrime continues to be a serious threat — Montague

JAMAICA lost US$100 million to cybercrime in 2016, with 200 such cases reported, the Cybercrimes Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force has reported.

Speaking at the Jamaica Institute of Financial Services' annual anti-fraud seminar at the Terra Nova Hotel in Kingston yesterday, Minister of National Security Robert Montague noted that the figure had grown exponentially in 2017 and continues to be a serious threat.
