LEAD ARCHITECT (BUSINESS)

JOB PURPOSE: 

The Lead Architect reports to the Department Head – Enterprise Architecture (EA) and works closely with the other domain architects (Data, Application and Technology), and counterparts in Information Technology.  In the governance role, the Lead Architect ensures that business and IT projects are aligned to support the achievements of key goals that specific business scenarios are considered and that business value is delivered. They may provide direct input into the governance cycle for the funding, oversight, and realization of business projects. In addition, the Lead Architect works through others at every level of the organization soliciting strategic imperatives for senior executives, and supporting business unit managers as they leverage business architecture artefacts to create their business plans.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or an IT related course.
  • Master’s in Business Administration would be advantageous.
  • 6 years’ working experience in business process management & modeling and strategic planning.
  • Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required, to collect aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business.
  • Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives.

  • Ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture.
  • Ability to work effectively with persons at all levels of the organization and influence others to move towards consensus.
  • Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

 

The salary scale ranges from J$3.71 to J$4.44 million plus any allowance(s) attached to this position.
